About IETE

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Founded in 1953. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT Professionals. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific and Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence.

Objectives

• To promote the general advancement of telecommunication engineering, electronics and multidisciplinary subjects and their application.
• To facilitate the exchange of information and ideas on these subjects amongst the IETE members of the Institution.
• To organize conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, etc. for dissemination of technological information amongst students and faculty members.

One day Seminar on industrial automation using PLC, SCADA and IoT on 10th October 2023

IETE Students Forum organized One day Seminar on industrial automation using PLC, SCADA and IoT on 10th October 2023 at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Mr.Moorthi and Mr A. JayaKumar, CADD Centre, Hosur were delivered the seminar to the participants. Around 161 students from Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were actively participated in the seminar. IoT Industrial Automation holds immense potential to transform industries, driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and facilitating the transition towards smarter, more sustainable manufacturing systems. The resource persons briefly discussed about the applications of PLC, SCADA & IoT for Industries.

National level technical Symposium on “Computing, Control and Communication systems(CCCS2K23) during 21 – 22 September 2023

The National Symposium on Computer, Control, and Communication Systems is an annual event that aims to bring together leading experts, researchers, and professionals in the field of computer science, control systems, and communication technologies. This symposium serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, focusing on the latest advancements, challenges, and trends in these areas.

ISF at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering (Autonomous), Hosur, Tamil Nadu, organized a National Level Technical Symposium on Computing, Control and Communication Systems (CCCS2k23)” during September 21-22, 2023. The programme was inaugurated by Mr .S.Anathakrishnan, Head –PE, Unit -1, Ashok Leyland (P) Ltd, Hosur, Krishnagiri – Dt , Tamil Nadu, as the Chief Guest, Dr.G.Ranganath, Principal and Dr.T.Menakadevi, Coordinator-ISF. Mr .S.Anathakrishnan was delivered the inaugural address during the Inaugural function.

Dr.T.Menakadevi, Coordinator-ISF welcomed the dignitaries and Dr.G.Ranganath, Principal was presided over the function. Mr Harsha, Student president –ISF proposed vote of thanks. Mr .S.Anathakrishnan had delivered the keynote address on “Recent Trends in Computing, Control and Communication Systems”. About 110 delegates from various institutions were enthusiastically participated and effectively presented their technical papers.

Two day Workshop on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality during 25-26 July 2023

IETE Students Forum organized Two Day Workshop on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality during 25-26 July 2023 at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur. Mr.V.Selvaraj and team from MakeLabs, Krishnagiri were provided the hands training to the participants. Around 172 students from various engineering colleges were actively participated in the workshop. The topics such as 3D Object view, 3D video play, 3D Object Animation and VR Visualization were covered in the workshop.

Two day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning during 12-13 October 2022

IETE Students Forum organized Two Day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning during 12-13 October 2022 at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur. Mr.V.Selvaraj and team from MakeLabs, Krishnagiri were provided the hands training to the participants. Around 96 students from various engineering colleges were actively participated in the workshop. The topics such as Python Programming, AI and ML algorithms, CV2 and KERAS etc. were covered during the workshop.
