A Mere Pass In The Qualifying Examination

No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/ she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level. 

or

10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.

or

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

* The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture is mandatory for admission to first year of 5 year B.Arch Degree course shall be subjected to their passing of an aptitude test in Architecture.

The test shall consist of 2 papers:

(i) Test - I – Aesthetic Sensitivity - 100 marks - duration of test: One hour.
(ii) Test - II – Drawing - 100 marks - duration of test: Two hours.

(The minimum passing score in NATA is 80 out of 200 i.e 80/200.)

For Admission To M.C.A / MBA / ME / M.Tech
Course

MBA

a) A Pass in any recognised Bachelor's Degree (in any Discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 / 4 years pattern. (i.e. 10th Std. + HSC +3 years or 4 years Degree Programme) and obtained 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination as per current AICTE norms. (OR)

b) A Pass in any recognised Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern (i.e 10th Std. +3 years Diploma + 3 years Degree programme) and obtained 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination as per current AICTE norms.

MCA

a) A Pass in any recognised Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 / 4 years pattern with core Mathematics or Business Mathematics at +2 level or with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects at the Degree level. (i.e 10th Std. +HSC + 3 years or 4 years Degree Programme) and obtained 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination as per cuttent AICTE norms.

Eligible Courses

A Pass in B.E / B.Tech. or 4 years B.Pharm, B.Sc (Agri./ Forestry / Horticulture / Fishery) degree programme (or) Master's Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts which are prescribed and obtained 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the respective qualifying Examination as per current AICTE norms.

 

Not Eligible Courses

i) The M.Sc (2 years) Courses are not eligible for admission to M.E. (Computer Science )Course.

ii) Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except B.E / B.Tech Degree.

iii) B.E / B.Tech. Degrees obtained through distance mode / Week end courses are not eligible.

iv) As per Proceedings No. COA / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / MBA / MCA / ME / M.Tech. 21 / 2011 Dated: 20.5.2011 issued by the COMMITTEE TO OVERSEE THE ADMISSION MADE BY THE CONSORTIUM OF SELF FINANCING PROFESSIONAL ARTS AND SCEINCE COLLEGES.

General Information

Detailed information regarding fee, special fee, scholarship,     fee concession, hostel facilities, courses of studies and the examination etc will be intimated at the time of admission. The candidates should ensure that correct information regarding marks, age and community is furnished by them in the application. Candidates are warned that if the information by them is found to be false or incorrect, he/she will forfeit the seat no matter at what stage of course he/she is at that time.

Admission Requirements for PG Courses
  • Candidates for admission to the first semester of the Master's Degree Programme shall be required to have passed an appropriate Degree Examination of Anna University as specified under qualification for admission in the above table or any other examination of any recognized University or authority by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.
  • However, the Syndicate of the University may decide to restrict admission in any particular year to candidates having a subset of qualifications prescribed in the table.
  • Not withstanding the qualifying examination the candidate might have passed, he/she shall have a minimum level of proficiency in the appropriate programme / courses as prescribed by the Syndicate of the University from time to time
  • Eligibility conditions for admission such as class obtained, number of attempts in qualifying examination and physical fitness will be as prescribed by the syndicate of the University from time to time.
  • All Part-Time candidates should satisfy other conditions regarding experience, Sponsorship etc. that may be prescribed by the Syndicate from time to time.
MODES OF STUDY
  • Full-Time:
    Candidates admitted under 'Full-Time' should be available in the College / Institution / University during the complete working hours for curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities assigned to them.
  • Part Time - Evening:
    In this mode of study,separate classes are conducted in the evening.
  • Conversion from one mode of study to the other is not permitted.
NRI Admission

Details of the documents required for the NRI Quota:

  • Letter from the sponsor stating that he could meet the expenses towards his/her studies for the entire period.
  • PassporNRI Bank Account Pass Book of the Financial Supporter. t of the financial supporter.
  • Employer certificates of the sponsors
  • Proof of relationship between the sponsor and the candidate.
  • DD for developmental charges $1000 in favor of Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur.
  • Evidence of payment of development charges of $1000.
  • NRI status certificates of the financial supporter issued by the embassy of the respective country under the seal.
  • Nativity Certificate of the financial supporter.
