B.Arch. Degree Course

The candidate who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

  1. OC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together. 
  2. BC / BCM / MBC & DNC /  SC / SCA / ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together. 
  • Diploma

 
The candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments. 

    1. OC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together. 
    2. BC / BCM / MBC & DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together. 

 

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma

 
The candidates who have passed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as compulsory subject. 

      1. OC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
      2. BC / BCM / MBC & DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marts in aggregate in all the semesters put together. 

 
Aptitude Test  


The candidates should have passed (pass mark is 80 out of 200) the National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

 

Direct Second Year B.E. / B.Tech.(Lateral Entry) Degree Courses

 

Qualifying Examination:  

 Diploma Candidates

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course (Refer list of eligible Degree Courses for various Diploma Courses)

B.Sc. Candidates

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 years pattern and studied core Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level. 
Note:  Candidates with Degree other than Bachelor of Science are not eligible. 


For any clarification with regard to Diploma qualification, write a letter to DOTE, get it clarified and then admit students.  On any account, candidates without prescribed qualifications will not be given admission approval. 

Minimum Eligibility Marks: 

  Both Diploma and B.Sc. qualified candidates have to obtain the following minimum eligibility marks for admission to Lateral Entry as prescribed in G.O. (Ms.) No.263, Higher Education (J2) Department, dated: 30.6.2008 and as per directions issued in Government Letter No.5464 / J1 / 2011-1, Higher Education Department, dated:4.7.2011.

*Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates and other similar certificate issued by professional bodies or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled with institutions with permanent recognition up to 31-05-2013 are eligible to be considered equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full time Teaching / Industrial experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates.

  1. In Case of B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA / Diploma courses, in addition to regular mode of study, Lateral Entry and Part Time modes are also considered to be eligible.
  2. Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E. / B.Tech. and MCA Degree Courses.
  3. Candidates with B.E. / B.Tech. Degrees obtained through Distance mode / week end courses are not eligible.
  4. Candidates with Degree obtained without studying 10th, 12th std. or 3 years degree programme are not eligible.
  5. The qualifying UG Degree awarded by Universities should conform to the minimum standards of instructions for grant of the first degree through formal / non formal / distance (wherever applicable) educations prescribed by UGC.
