The CSI is the largest peer group of leading systems' professionals from different areas in the country. The elite body has over 75 chapters and over 60,000 members. The focus of the CSI is scientific and educational, directed towards the advancement of theory and practice of information Technology. It encourages professionals associated with this field to maintain integrity and provides a forum to network and promote fellowship. Computer Society of India is the very first profession society started for Computer professionals. At Adhiyamaan CSI student branch was started at 2003, through CSI student branch we have organized many events for the benefit of students and faculty. Hosur has become a vibrant industrial hub. Even though the IT capital of India, Bangalore, is a mere stones' throw away, Hosur has lagged behind in harnessing the benefits of IT. There is a need to bridge this gap.
The CSI was identified as the ideal platform to network IT executives in Hosur.

A Two Day National Level Workshop on “ANDROID MOBILE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT”
A two day National level workshop on “ANDROID MOBILE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT” was organized by CSI student branch, Adhiyamaan college of Engineering, Hosur, during 21st and 22nd June 2013. In the inaugural session, Mr.Ramasamy, Consultant, CSI Education Directorate, Chennai wad the chief guest and delivered a valuable speech to the students, Dr. G. Ranganath, Principal, Adhiyamaan College of Engineering presided over the function and Dr. M. Lilly Florence Student branch Counselor of Adhiyamaan College of Engineering welcomes the guest and participants.
In the first day of workshop Mr. Sankar, Griffin Infosystem Pvt. Ltd., Chennai was the resource person and delivered lecture on Android architecture, open sources and various components of Android, and also gave hands on training on mobile application development.
In the second day, the resource person was Mr. Ayyadurai, Senior Application developer, Infosys, Mysore, delivered topics on Android Intents, Broadcast Receivers and Adaptors, Maps, Geo-coding and Location based services and Accessing Android Hardware.
Both the days the sessions were very much interactive, where all the participants were involved in posing the queries related to the theme. There were 91 participants benefited through this workshop. All the participants of the workshop appreciated the organizers for providing the opportunity to get the latest knowledge in Android Mobile Application Development.
A Two Days Intra College Technical Symposiums
A Two Days Intra College Technical Symposiums was organized by Department of computer Science and Engineering in Association with CSI Student Branch, Adhiyamaan college of Engineering, Hosur, during 21st and 22nd August 2013. In the inaugural session, Mrs.R. Priya Darsanic, Program Delivery Manager, TESCO HSC, Bangalore was the chief guest and delivered a inspiration speech to the participants, Dr. G. Ranganath, Principal, Adhiyamaan College of Engineering presided over the function, Dr. Thilagavathy HOD/CSE, Dr. M. Lilly Florence Student branch Counselor of Adhiyamaan College of Engineering welcomes the guest and participants. In this program about 300 participants had participated in all the technical and non-technical events like paper presentation, technical Quiz, Debugging, code building etc.
A Two Days Inter College Project Expo2K13 during 5th and 6th September 2013
A Two Days Inter College Project Expo2K13 was organized by Department of Information Technology in Association with CSI Student Branch, Adhiyamaan college of Engineering, Hosur, during 5th and 6th September 2013. The Project Expo2K13 was Inaugurated by Mr. Narayanan Sundaresan, Offshore- Delivery manager, Capella University, USA. In this Exhibition 55 projects were demonstrated by the participants from various colleges and first 10 projects were selected and given prizes for them.
Two Day National Level workshop on “Research Trends in Information Technology and Applications”
A Two Day National Level workshop on “Research Trends in Information Technology and Applications” was organized by CSI Student Branch, Adhiyamaan college of Engineering, Hosur, during 4th and 5th October 2013. The workshop was Inaugurated by Mr. Bindhumadhava, Associate Director, C-DAC, Bangalore. In this workshop the participants were research scholars and faculty members. This workshop had two parallel hands on sessions on Data Mining (WEKA) and Computer networks (NS2). The resource persons are Dr. Georege from Bharathidesan Univeristy, Trichy, Dr. L. Ravi from Sacred Heart College, Thirupatture and Dr. S. Sagayaraj from Sacred Heart College, Thirupatture.
Industrial Visit to C-DAC Knowledge Park, Bangalore
Adhiyamaan College of Engineering CSI SB arranged one day Industrial Visit to C-DAC Knowledge Park, Bangalore on 12.02.2014 for our CSI student members. In C-DAC, they attended a Seminar on “Information Security” given by Mr. Saravanan, Administrative Officer, C-DAC. And also the students visited the data management centres and Super Computer.
