M.E. - Structural Engineering

The PG programme (M.E) in Structural Engineering is functional from the current academic year. Though P.G programme in Structural Engineering, at its stage of infancy, it has made significant performance in Research activities which is endorsed by several ongoing sponsored research projects from premier funding agencies like Department of Science and Technology , Ministry of Earth Sciences, Department of Space, Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The Department has well equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art needs. Dynamic, experienced & committed faculty with more accountability is the strength of the department. The department is an approved research centre of Anna University of Technology, Chennai. The Department is co-ordinating  the Industry Institute Partnership Cell, sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

Based on Retrofitting

  • Experimental investigation on 3D RC Frame with masonry infill under dynamic simulations.
  • Evaluation of propagation potential of dynamic waves in 3D RC frame with slabs.
  • Aseismic performance of 3D frame using M 30 Grade concrete with diagonal wise infill.
