About The Department :

 

Architecture always occupies an important place in today's society. The department of Architecture is guided by eminent faculty and experienced subject specialists, many of whom are post graduates. Architecture Department was started in the year 1992 - 93 with 40 students intake. The Department has trained more than 400 architects in the last thirteen batches, who are all well placed in India as well as abroad. The students are ensured an esteemed place in their society. The Department occupies an independent building with facilities certified by the council. The council of Architechture has approved our department as one of the test centres to conduct NATA exams.

  7. Multimedia CADD Lab with LAN and 24 hour Internet facilities.
  8. Material Museum - with a collection of all kinds of buildings materials like roofing, floor tiles, sanitary ware, etc.

  National Association of Students in Architecture (NASA)
 
The department is one among the 104 member colleges in NASA (a national level body). The South Zone Birla White Yuva Rathna 2007 & 2008 were won by our students. We have bagged several prizes at various zonal NASA conventions till date. Our Students have participated in the NASA at MIT, Manipal conducted in January 2007 and won the special mentioned in Louis Khan Trophy.
Achievements:  
  • Our Students have been obtaining ranks in the Anna University from 2005.
  • In the year 2008 Mabel Abraham secured the second rank from the Anna University.
  • To acquire practical exposure and skills, students are constantly & actively participating in zonal & national level students convention & seminars and have won several prizes both at zonal & national level.
  • Placement of all the earlier batches is 100%.
  • All the students are either entrepreneures or well placed in various reputed architectural firms in India and abroad.
