About the Department
The Department of Chemical Engineering has modern well furnished laboratories.Well qualified staff with rich experience and state of art laboratories especially the Mass transfer lab, developed under MODROBS, serves the students for their project work. Practical exposure of their theoretical course work is enhanced by regular Industrial Visits. Students are encouraged to participate in paper presentations. Guest Lectures by eminent personalities are arranged to develop the overall personality of the students.
Students are fed with technical and statutory information to become entrepreneurs. Final year students are encouraged to do projects in Industries. National seminars are organized by the students through department association 'FACE' every year to develop the leadership quality of the student. The Department has a exclusive computer center with internet facility for the staff and students. The Department Library, which is exclusive for the Chemical Engineering Department students is an asset. The Department has signed MoU's with several industries for the benefit of the students.
