About the Department

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2001-2002 with the basic objective of providing skill-based education in the field of the Information Technology. Right from its inception, the department has been offering well - built infrastructural facilities with different computer platforms for grooming professional students to meet the incessant demands of the IT Industries.The Department strives to produce eminent professional tuned to the real time working environment. To fulfill this objective, the software, hardware and curriculum are updated regularly.
The Department of Information Technology has well equipped with state of the art laboratories having HP Machines. We have two Servers (1-Linux server and 1-Windows Server) connected to 132 distributed nodes. The softwares for handling the laboratories are properly licensed. Apart from these our faculty members have multi expertisation in areas like Image Processing, Multimedia Systems, Networking and Data Mining etc, Our students are encouraged to participate in various activities like paper presentation, sports activities and cultural activities. More over we provide them free environment to improve the students - faculty relationship.
