Seminar on “Mental Health and Coping Strategies” - 05.08.2023

A Psychiatrist, Dr. SUGANYA, M.B.B.S., M.D., (Psychiatry), Psychiatry department, St. Peter’s Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute, Hosur, has conducted a seminar on coping strategies for mental well-being. She elaborately discussed and had interactions with the girl students regarding the teenage issues and explained the strategies to cope with that. She also insisted the students about the importance of by taking healthy food, routine exercises, yoga and good sleep for maintaining a healthy body and mind.

The seminar was arranged for all the girl students in the AERI hostel. About 300 students participated in the programme and benefitted. Students asked their doubts and got explanations from the doctor regarding their stress problems.

 

GUEST LECTURE- “KNOW ME BETTER” on 25.05.2023

Dr. JOSH JAYRAJ, from Psychiatry department, St. Peter’s Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute, Hosur, delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Know Me Better”, to enhance the psychological well-being of the students.

He addressed regarding different reasons for depression and guided various methods to overcome depression in adolescent age. Created awareness about self-analysis for girl students and stressed the importance of healthy habits.
